Blank Canvas | Planet SkyFF S.5 Ep.36 | Sky Fantasy Football

Suj and James discuss all the latest Talking points for Sky Fantasy with only 9 teams participating over the upcoming week and for many it will be a week to take stock rather than invest again after a period where many have taken advantage of gains. But that's not the case for everyone... Should those without investment in Bournemouth-Luton tonight buy Dominic Solanke or consider a Luton alternative? Jarrod Bowen vs Ollie Watkins is the debate for Sunday's captaincy and for those who haven't gone for investment in Tottenham should that be amended as a priority ahead of Saturday's trip to Fulham? Plus, learnings from the weekend, why selling Brighton assets may need to be reconsidered, buying a new goalkeeper, investment in Arsenal after the Internationals, listener questions and more. Making An Arse Of It | Planet SkyFF S.5 Ep.35 | Sky Fantasy Football

Suj and James discuss the latest for Sky Fantasy Football and the fallout from the investment in Arsenal on Monday night, which wasn't as big as we may have expected and for a certain someone there was no investment in The Gunners at all! Investment plans for what's to come now focus on Aston Villa, Tottenham and West Ham on Sunday and Chelsea or Newcastle or Monday. But the solutions of who to buy seems quite straightforward, it's just a case of how heavy Sky Fantasy managers invest with only 4 fixtures to focus on during the following weekend. But a certain someone (yep him again) might not be able to buy anyone on Sunday! Plus, captaincy for the weekend, coverage of next Wednesday's Bournemouth-Luton encounter, thoughts for further ahead, listener questions, learnings from the weekend, approaching the point of set and forget and more... Sakable Offence | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 35 | GW24 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James review the 9 weekend games played in GW24 and for both Arsenal's 6-0 victory against West Ham meant it was a bad FPL week as Gunners assets returned well with Gabriel benched and in James' case Bukayo Saka sold! But it was of course it was Suj's team that suffered a record home league defeat. Captaining Erling Haaland at least brought some relief, but City did struggle to break down a resolute Everton. City assets are obviously on radar as are those who also double at Brentford, Liverpool and Luton and final decisions ahead of the double may well be impacted by the status of Trent Alexander-Arnold's fitness. There's tactical insight into Arsenal's stunning victory, Kieran Trippier's role change for Newcastle at Forest that freed up Bruno Guimaraes, how Brighton's man to man game at Tottenham had success but ultimately cost them the game in which a returning player from International duty hugely impressed James. Plus, conversation on all the games including Manchester United's crucial win at Aston Villa and Sheffield United's surprise victory at Luton, planning towards GW29, managing GW26 and lots more... Arsenal test title credentials at West Ham, plus a fitting final at AFCON

Jimbo welcomes Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and Benji Lanyado into The Athletic studio to analyse a big weekend across multiple competitions. Arsenal head to West Ham in the Premier League with the Hammers looking for a 3rd win over the Gunners this season. Do we have Arteta’s team right in terms of what kind of team they are? And why do some West Ham fans continue to be unhappy with David Moyes? Aston Villa take on red-hot Man United at Villa Park. Now that United are taking their chances, is Bruno Fernandes’s hard work about to be rewarded? It was a bad midweek for Villa as they were well beaten by Chelsea in the FA Cup. But can we really trust Pochettino’s side to keep this going? Our AFCON final is set for Sunday - Daniel Storey joins us to preview the best team in the competition Nigeria, up against the miracle-working hosts Ivory Coast. Plus the Southampton way, and the Britpop Kevin De Bruyne. Produced by Charlie Jones. Cunha Believe it? | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 34 | GW23 Review | Fantasy Premier League

It was a weekend with lots of goals in the Premier League and that meant some big swings for FPL managers in GW23 as Richarlison and Ollie Watkins returned big and there were also big hauls for attacking enablers such as Alejandro Garnacho and Matheus Cunha, but find defensive returns was far more difficult. All the games reviewed including Tottenham's draw at Everton, Villa's thumping win at Sheffield United, Manchester United's comfortable victory against West Ham and Arsenal won the big one, and deservedly so, against Liverpool. And despite defeat Liverpool assets appeal now that we know their fixture against Luton Town has finally been announced for DGW25. But their opponents Luton also have several excellent options and were involved in a thrilling 4-4 draw at Newcastle. There are eyes on how to manipulate the upcoming blanks and doubles, thoughts on Man City assets ahead of tonight's trip to Brentford and there are a couple of Premier League managers now under big pressure... and they meet at Selhurst Park next week!
