It's time for The Truth! Sam and Dougie are back in the studio to take a look at the big debate that's beginning to rage on social media, that of who is going to be awarded Player of the Season this year in the Premier League? The boys walk through each of the candidates, ranking them on where they would have placed them in the rankings if they were given the keys to the castle - and helping Sam to select who he is going to write down on that little piece of paper when the voting opens this season. We discuss Arsenal's duo of Gabriel Magalhães and Declan Rice, Brentford's Igor Thiago, Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo, Manchester United talisman Bruno Fernandes and Liverpool's Dominik Szoboslai and try to find some order in the chaos. After the Premier League, we take a spin round the rest of Europe's Top Five, picking out our Player of the Season and a few honourable mentions for each of La Liga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1. So, is there one correct answer? Do you judge this on individual brilliance or the most important component of a team winning silverware? As ever, The Truth is somewhere in the middle... Adam Hurrey, Charlie Eccleshare and David Walker entertain this month's listener entries for Mesut Haaland Dicks, as the Clichés faithful nominate their niche footballing fascinations and irritations. Among the selections are the GoPro goalkeepers of non-league, the concept of an English fan being really, really into the Australian A-League, the "overhit crossfield pass" apology transaction and a man who thinks he’s cracked the pressing structures of elite football in the 2020s. Meanwhile, the Adjudication Panel discover David Beckham’s under-reported claim to football history and enjoy the latest Cliches-referencing wrestling commentary from the USA. The Cooligans break down a wild week across MLS and European football. Are LAFC already separating themselves from the pack, or can Vancouver and Inter Miami keep pace? The guys also debate whether Liverpool’s late-game struggles are on Arne Slot, and if Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City era might finally be losing steam. Plus, Chelsea seem to escape serious punishment for financial rule violations, sparking questions about fairness in the Premier League. The episode also features quick reactions to Erling Haaland’s face-breaking shot, Chelsea’s bizarre pre-game huddle, the new USMNT World Cup kits, and who Orlando City should target as their next head coach.

Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Craig Hope, Miguel Delaney and Jack Rosser to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We begin with an historic day at the Emirates, where league leaders Arsenal secured a 2-0 win over Everton, with late goals from Gyokeres and 16-year-old rising star Max Dowman, who became the youngest Premier League goal-scorer. Nine points clear and seven games remaining: can Manchester City still mount a comeback? Staying on the topic of rising stars, 19-year-old Kimi Antonelli claimed victory at the Shanghai Grand Prix from pole position for Mercedes, making him the second youngest driver ever to win a race, after Max Verstappen. Then it’s on to a damaging result for Manchester City, as a 1–1 draw with West Ham deals a major blow to their title hopes and leaves Pep Guardiola’s side with serious ground to make up on Arsenal. Craig looks at the dip in form from Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, while Miguel asks if the spotlight should fall on the manager instead. And for West Ham, Nuno’s side are finding form at exactly the right moment in their relegation battle. Miguel is confident they’ll survive — but is he right to say “West Ham will definitely stay up?” Next, we head to Stamford Bridge, where referee Paul Tierney found himself bizarrely caught in the middle of a Chelsea player huddle. Liam Rosenior later claimed it was because his players were “respecting the ball.” Jack admits they struggled not to laugh, while Craig labels the whole thing immature. We wrap up with Newcastle, who secured a 1-0 away win against Chelsea. Despite six changes since midweek’s Barcelona clash and the absence of Sandro Tonali, Craig hails Howe’s side for a “dogged and determined” performance. With an impressive performance down the middle, we also ask: could Anthony Gordon be England’s number 9 at the World Cup? Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast. The pod welcomes the writer, esteemed pintsman and creator of Dead Pubs, Jimmy McIntosh, for the latest edition of Mesut Haaland Dicks, as he chooses his six personal fascinations and irritations of football. Among Jimmy's selections are the nuances of watching live games in the pub (feat. Arsenal fans doing the Gyokeres celebration), the pioneering work of sporting director Damien Comolli, British football's aversion to poetic player nicknames, the rise (and potential fall) of "limbs" culture and the logistical nightmare of the half-time stadium pint. On this episode of The Cooligans, the boys debate whether winning at all costs is hurting the beauty of Arsenal’s football despite their results, and whether title contenders should be held to a higher stylistic standard. Manchester United fan Matty FC joins to discuss the club’s recent bounce under Michael Carrick and whether it’s the start of a real turnaround or just a temporary lift. Plus, we predict which young striker could be the next superstar in Europe alongside Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé, and break down why Brazil may be heading into the 2026 World Cup with more questions than answers—even with Carlo Ancelotti at the helm.
The pod welcomes TNT Sports co-commentator Lucy Ward for the latest edition of Mesut Haaland Dicks, as she chooses her six personal fascinations and irritations of football. Among Lucy's selections are the joy of young players making their senior debut, fence-perching and megaphone-toting Continental ultras, the post-goal cue for a co-commentator to wax lyrical, the "Ayling Flop" and clubs tenuously claiming youth signings as "one of their own". Meanwhile, the Adjudication Panel hear an unexpected pre-penalty shout at Yeovil, ponder a potential technicality in awarding the save of the season, and get mathematical about passes being put on a proverbial "sixpence". It was an unforgettable week for many FPL managers, and that included James, whose bench boost went bust with three no shows, but a score of 99 still meant a big jump inside the top 10k. For Suj it was a bit more forgettable. Infact, the only good news was a defeat for Nottingham Forest at Brighton, as Suj's West Ham and James' Tottenham once again fell to defeats. Those defeats feature in a review of all the games from a weekend that featured high drama, many popular FPL assets returning big, others including Erling Haaland no showing and now many are faced with multiple flags in their team, at a period where many may have wanted to roll transfers. So now what ahead of the quick turnaround before GW29!? Arsenal once again turn to their set-piece strength to edge past Chelsea and stay ahead of Manchester City in the title race. But with their forwards misfiring, can the Gunners really power their way to the Premier League title relying so heavily on dead-ball situations? City, meanwhile, grind out a crucial win over promoted Leeds United to keep the pressure on. Could their big winter signings prove decisive down the stretch? And with 14 wins from 18 league games without Erling Haaland, it raises a bold question: are City actually a more complete team without their superstar striker? Gary, Alan and Micah also tackle a wider issue: has the Premier League’s overall standard declined? Are rigid tactical systems and over-coaching draining the entertainment from the game? And is modern football losing the spark that once made it so compelling? The Rest Is Football is powered by Fuse Energy. Jimbo, Daniel Storey, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Matt Davies-Adams react to another pulsating Premier League weekend. City prove they can win without Haaland to put pressure back on Arsenal

Jimbo has Duncan Alexander, Charlie Eccleshare and Liam Twomey in the studio with him in a week predictably packed with dramatic football. Atalanta stage an incredible comeback against Dortmund in the Champions League. They’re the only Italian team left in the competition after Juve’s incredible comeback falls short. Real Madrid and PSG also progress, with the holders still looking a shadow of last season. Can anyone stop the English clubs? Speaking of the Premier League, leaders Arsenal host a Chelsea side looking to make life difficult for them again. While Haaland heads home to Leeds as Man City try to keep pace in the title race. Adam Hurrey, Charlie Eccleshare and Nick Miller entertain this month's listener entries for Mesut Haaland Dicks, as the Clichés faithful nominate their niche footballing fascinations and irritations.
