Arsenal overcome adversity to go back top of the league against their old manager and goalscoring goalkeeper in a special game at Villa Park. Their Carabao cup final opponents, Newcastle, have their unbeaten run ended by Liverpool who strike early as Pope sees red. Super Sunday | Spurs go fourth with win | Souness: West Ham never took the game to Tottenham | Hasselbaink: Richarlison needs time

Dave Jones presents Super Sunday and is joined by Graeme Souness, Robbie Keane and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as they witnessed Tottenham climb into the top four with their 2-0 win against West Ham which meant the Hammers remain in the bottom three. Souness felt West Ham never took the game to Spurs and that was highlighted by only having a single shot on target. Son Heung-min ended his goal drought when he netted the hosts’ second goal after coming off the bench to replace Richarlison who’s struggles continued, but Hasselbaink feels the Brazilian will come good but needs time to settle and progress at the club. The trio also debate if West Ham have enough to stay up this season, whether Tottenham can maintain their push for a top four finish despite an inconsistent campaign so far and also reflect on Manchester United’s 3-0 win against Leicester City earlier in the day. There is reaction from both dressing rooms with Ben Davies, Son Heung-min and Declan Rice speaking to Patrick Davison as well as both Cristian Stellini and David Moyes giving their post-match thoughts. In the Saturday Night Football match at St James’ Park, will Liverpool return to Sky Sports with another victory after the Merseyside Derby win? Can they realistically still make the top four? Newcastle have drawn four out of their last five – how much of a concern is that, and what impact does the Carabao Cup final next weekend have on Eddie Howe’s players? Tottenham are live on Super Sunday against West Ham. Can they shake off their inconsistency against their London rivals? And how green are the shoots of recovery David Moyes has overseen at the London Stadium? Arsenal march on, Chelsea sign on and Everton move on

Joe Devine, JJ Bull and Jon Mackenzie are here to talk about some football. Arsenal continued their best ever start to a top flight season with a 3-2 win over Manchester United. But are Mikel Arteta's touchline antics a marginal gain or a sign of the moral failure of the entire football club? Chelsea versus Liverpool was not that interesting. So instead we spoke about Chelsea's new lengthy contracts. Are they an unusual outlier or a presage of things to come? We move on to a win for West Ham in Frank Lampard's last game as Everton manager. Did we record before he was sacked? Of course we did. There was also an inexplicable amount of discussion about cows in this episode. The Tifo football podcast is presented by Joe Devine and produced by Steve Hankey. Hosted on Acast. Another big test passed by Arsenal but Man City are stirring

Jimbo, Daniel Storey, Jon Mackenzie and Jay Harris cast their eyes over an intriguing and potentially pivotal Premier League weekend. Arsenal overcome Man United in dramatic fashion with Nketiah proving a brilliant alternative to Jesus and the inverted Zinchenko proving hugely influential. Man City are back in the goals though with universal acclaim for Erling Haaland and Rico Lewis. Can they chase the Gunners down in the title race? Some drab 0-0s across the matchday, including at Anfield but Mykhailo Mudryk’s exciting cameo for Chelsea shows why they might not need a striker. Plus Mitoma, Gnonto and why Sean Dyche would keep Everton up. Produced by Charlie Jones. Suj & James review all the Gameweek 20 Premier League games from the weekend and it was a tough weekend for many including James, who had an even tougher Sunday to endure at White Hart Lane. And Suj is no happier with the state of West Ham after defeat at Wolves saw them drop into the bottom 3. Brighton assets are on mind for FPL managers after an outstanding display against lacklustre Liverpool but investment comes with a warning, Man Utd controversially won the other big Derby this weekend and the pain continued for Everton after another home defeat to Southampton. Plus, there are differentials beginning to show promise, particularly in the midfield area and there's a warning that although Gameweek 22 could still be a double there might not be an announcement this week, and that is one of a number of reasons why after a week where many took hits this coming gameweek could be a good one to roll a transfer... A Feast of Festive Football

Jimbo is joined by Daniel Storey, Adrian Clarke and Lynsey Hooper to reflect on a feast of festive football in the Premier League. Arsenal kept their title-challenging form going by beating West Ham in front of a returning Arsène Wenger. Newcastle United also carried on their ominous pre-World Cup form by swatting aside Leicester City. Yorkshireman Erling Haaland returned to his place of birth. His two goals for Manchester City against Leeds United saw him become the fastest player to reach twenty goals in the Premier League. Plus Chelsea and Manchester United picked up wins as they try and regain some lost ground after stuttering starts. At the bottom, there’s disagreement over the prospects for Nathan Jones at Southampton. But there’s consensus that Everton are in troubling form; the sort that may not see Frank Lampard’s time in the Goodison dugout last much longer. Produced by Steve Hankey RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1: Arsenal beat West Ham (03.00) • PART 2: Newcastle beat Leicester (12:30) • PART 3: Haaland hauling Leeds over hot coals and footballer’s weight (19:30) • PART 4a: Wolves with two wins under Lopetegui (25.30) • PART 4b: Everton are in trouble (30:00) • PART 4c: Man Utd beat Forest (32:30) • PART 5a: Liverpool lure Cody Gakpo (38:00) • PART 5b:Brentford’s draw with Spurs, but how will they manage without Toney? (41.30) • PART 5c: How will Nathan Jones do at Southampton? And star spangled Fulham (49.30) • PART 6: Chelsea and a lesser-spotted Denis Zakaria (59:30) Hosted on Acast.
