Kelly Cates presents Super Sunday from Old Trafford alongside Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Roy Keane, and they witnessed Manchester City comprehensively beat their rivals 3-0. Keane praised City's performance and thinks they will be difficult to stop as they aim for a fourth consecutive Premier League title. The former Man Utd midfielder was also critical of Bruno Fernandes, saying 'he is the opposite of what I want in a captain'. Gary Neville also joined the debate in the studio and had a heated clash with Carragher on the problems at Man Utd and where the blame lies after a lack of progress across several aspects of the club. There is also the post-match views from player-of-the-match Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland, as well as Pep Guardiola who hailed Silva's impact on the team, while Erik ten Hag felt United's gameplan was good but his players made the wrong decisions at crucial times. After Manchester City's unfortunate defeat at Arsenal, David Mooney is joined by City fans Richard Burns and Sam Roscoe to discuss the talking points... Life without Rodri is hard, Kovacic is a very lucky boy, and the approach to the game might not have been the worst thing in the world (until viewed after the loss). Also on the show, we're taking a look at goalkeepers who weren't where you'd expect them to be. Sam's been focusing on the times outfielders have ended up between the sticks and the times when goalies have been let loose outfield. With the Etihad announced as one of the venues for Euro 2028, we'll look at some of the international games played on that ground already - plus we take some time to look at City matches that were abandoned and the best entrance music for the team.==========To get bonus podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/BlueMoonPodcast Learn more about your ad choices. Suj and James review the 8 games played so far in GW2 and focus turns towards GW3 with an amazing set of fixtures coming up this week for the majority of popular clubs and that includes a Chelsea side who were beaten at West Ham but will be the subject of big attention ahead of home games against Luton and Nottingham Forest. What now for those who own Liverpool assets? They beat Bournemouth and Mo Salah captainers can claim weekend victory but it's Newcastle and Aston Villa next. Is it time to move Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold on? James is full of joy after Tottenham's victory against Manchester United. Should United assets be moved on for Tottenham players? Plus, Brighton got four again, as did Aston Villa against a limp Everton, Brentford won handsomely at Fulham, we got some surprise penalty takers, dodgy refereeing decisions (obviously) and Phil Foden is now very much on radar.... but so are plenty of others... and you can't have them all Tomorrow on Planet FPL: Clash of the Correspondents - Chelsea Vs Luton Town with Gary Mantle and Dan Ashby Today on Patreon: The Patreon Q'N'A For the full Planet FPL Schedule this week view this post: https://www.patreon.com/planetfpl Want to become a member of our FPL and SkyFF community and support the Podcast? Premier League football returned with the opening match of the 2023/24 season as reigning champions Manchester City travelled to newly-promoted Burnley, managed by former City captain Vincent Kompany. Kelly Cates was joined by Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Izzy Christiansen who reflected on the treble winners’ 3-0 win at Turf Moor on Friday night. Erling Haaland started this campaign like he did the previous, scoring twice and his performance was singled out by Carragher who feels that there is still more to come from the forward despite already setting high standards last season. Neville highlighted City’s work rate and said that was the most impressive factor in their win. There is also post-match reaction from the player of the match Haaland as well as both Pep Guardiola and Vincent Kompany. The LA Galaxy played a lackluster first 45 minutes that saw them gift the Columbus Crew a two-goal lead. While there was an adjustment at halftime, the Galax's offense remains their most significant issue. Even little Guesman makes an appearance because everyone needs a hug at this point!
