EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/bluemoon Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee!==========What an insane week it's been. Trying to get to the bottom of why Manchester City lost control of two games against 17th and 18th in the table when they had a comfortable lead in both matches is, from Sporting News, Dom Farrell and, from Football365, Sarah Winterburn. They join David Mooney to discuss the chaos of the games with Leeds and Fulham. They also take a look at City's 'tactical time out', which has drawn attention this week. Did they actually benefit from the huddle at the side of the pitch when Gianluigi Donnarumma went down against Leeds? Is it more concerning that Leeds still equalised after it and the momentum in the game didn't change? Then, at Fulham, in all the madness, Erling Haaland broke the Premier League record to become the fastest player to score 100 goals in the competition. That and Phil Foden's recent form is up for discussion, too. With Sunderland up next, Ant Waterson from Roker Report speaks to the show about what to expect from their visit to the Etihad, and with Real Madrid also coming up there are fears of what might happen if City don't tighten up their grip on matches.==========To get more podcasts or to listen without the ads, join our Patreon. A New Philosophy | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 26 | GW14 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss the games and fallout from a dramatic Gameweek 14 so far as Manchester City won 5-4 away, Villa (found improvement) to win 4-3 at Brighton, Arsenal won again but it was a bad night for Chelsea at Elland Road and Liverpool were again underwhelming as they drew with Sunferland. The City victory saw Erling Haaland walk away with three attacking returns but the headlines for Fantasy owners were more about the returns for Phil Foden who now has more FPL points in his past two than the previous 12 weeks. Should non owners steam in? Before buying the prospect of further rotation for assets should be considered in a week where predictably many players were given a rest, but perhaps it was more than just a rest for Mo Salah as he was benched again. The good news is the midweek rotation can be turned into an advantage in many scenarios in a week where everyone should be making at least one transfer ahead of receiving five free transfers in GW16. All the games covered, James has an enabling transfer on mind and even managed to come away from St James's Park with a dramatic late draw. Thiaw For Now | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 25 | GW13 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss another eventful weekend in the Premier League, where there was largely success for Free Hitters (including Suj) but disappointment for Erling Haaland Triple Captainers, and James' Wildcard also went okay. But what's perhaps more important is what's next and a big theme around Suj and James' discussion is who might get rotated during a midweek where the spacing of games is particularly bad for Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. The two London sides drew in Sunday's big game whilst Liverpool finally won and kept a clean sheet with Alexadner Isak on the scoresheet, but Mo Salah was an unused substitute. A rest presumably...? There's reflection on the Villa, Brentford and Manchester City assets that largely delivered well for Free Hitters, Newcastle won away with Malick Thiaw - 3rd on James' bench - scoring twice, and Newcastle assets now greatly appeal, as might Manchester United assets after their victory at Crystal Palace. But it was another miserable home day for James' Tottenham. Pep Guardiola’s 1,000th game in management ended with Liverpool thrashed and Man City just four points off Arsenal. Erling Haaland was among the goals, but Jeremy Doku got all the attention at the Etihad. Can they now sustain a serious challenge for the title? Host: Ayo Akinwolere With: Adam Crafton and Jack Pitt-Brooke Executive Producer: Abi Paterson Producer: Paul Iliffe Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

The fine line between ‘it’s so over’ and ‘we’re so back’

It was a rollercoaster weekend in the Premier League, with many clubs being thrown from joy one minute to despair the next. Musa and Ryan focus on Manchester City’s 3-0 over Liverpool (03:30), which saw another goal for Erling Haaland and arguably Jeremy Doku’s best performance in a City shirt so far. For Liverpool, it was another day to forget and there’s yet more to ponder for Arne Slot during this men's international break. Sunderland did what no side has done this season, by scoring two against Arsenal at the Stadium of Light (21:38), there was late drama at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and more great wins for Villa, West Ham, Brentford and Everton. There's also chat about Pep Guardiola, after he reached 1000 games as a manager this weekend. All the non-Premier League stuff will be on the midweek show, up Wednesday for members, and for any London listeners, don't forget to get tickets for our first live show at the Southbank Centre here. "The Destructive” Conor Bradley, Are There A Lack Of Flair Players & Alan Shearer The Traitor

Did Trent Alexander-Arnold’s spot on the bench inspire Conor Bradley to produce another Man of the Match display against Real Madrid? Savinho Steals the Show! Man City Stay Unstoppable 💫

“Savinho Steals the Show! Man City Outclass Villarreal in Europe 💙” The Blue Moon Botcast is back — and the vibes are immaculate! 💙 Manchester City made it look easy once again in the Champions League, cruising past Villarreal 2–0 at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side stay unbeaten in the group, sitting on seven points from three games — and there were plenty of talking points from this one! Rico Lewis and Savinho absolutely ran the show in the first half, combining for the opening goal — with Erling Haaland (obviously!) on hand to score for a 12th consecutive game. The man’s a machine. Then, just when you thought he’d bag all the goals again, Bernardo Silva popped up with a header from another brilliant Savinho cross. In the second half, Donnarumma pulled off some key saves to keep the clean sheet intact, and Pep’s rotation plan paid off perfectly. We’re talking tactical tweaks, standout performances, and that unstoppable City rhythm we all love. 🎙️ In this episode, we break down Player ratings and fan takes: Donnarumma – 8: Rock solid. Made a huge save in the second half and stayed switched on all night. Nunes – 8: Excellent down the flank, linked up beautifully with Lewis and Savinho early on. Dias – 7: Got booked harshly, but handled their forwards with ease. Stones – 7: Just pure class. That midfield drift? He makes it look effortless. Gvardiol – 6: A couple of sloppy moments — Pep wasn’t happy — but he’ll shake it off. Gonzalez – 7: Looked sharp, great awareness. Shame he had to hobble off. Bernardo Silva – 8: Scored and isn’t named Haaland! Worked hard at both ends. Rico Lewis – 7: Outstanding first half, faded a bit later, but still so influential. Savinho – 8: What a performance. Two assists, full of energy — electric. Doku – 6: Not quite his night. Missed an early chance and couldn’t get going. Haaland – 8: Another game, another goal. The guy’s on fire — unstoppable right now. Subs: Kovacic (for Gonzalez, 57’) – 7: Played some delicious passes through to Haaland. Reijnders (for Lewis, 72’) – 6: Loves to drive forward, maybe a bit too much sometimes. Bobb (for Doku, 72’) – 6: Didn’t have long to make an impact. 💬 Drop your thoughts in the comments: Who was your Man of the Match — Haaland, Savinho, or maybe Donnarumma for that clutch save? If you’re new here, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell 🔔 so you never miss a Blue Moon Botcast upload — where passion meets football talk the City way. 💙 #manchestercity #mancity #BlueMoonBotcast, #haaland #savinho #ricolewis #bernardosilva #pepguardiola #championsleague #villarreal #donnarumma #erlinghaaland

Deadpool | Planet FPL S. 9 Ep. 19 | GW8 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James review all the action from Gameweek 8 which included some extraodinary individual showings as Erling Haaland recorded another brace, Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring a hat-trick but underperforming (!) his xG on the day and Cody Gakpo scored, hit the woodwork three times and missed a sitter. Those Gakpo misses were in a rare Anfield Liverpool defeat that means it's four defeats in a row for The Champions in all competitions. What's going wrong? Manchester United were the victors at Anfield and now may feel they can put a consistent run of results together. Plus, Ange Postecoglu's spell in charge of Nottingham Forest is over, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth was carnage, Tottenham's poor showings finally caught up with them, while Burnley and Sunderland defensive assets rewarded the FPL managers who started them or used them as part of a Bench Boost. Ange Sacked | Brutally Efficient Arsenal | Beckham Bid

Dharmesh Sheth is joined by Jonathan Liew, Martin Samuel and Dan Kilpatrick to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We begin with Forest’s sacking of Ange Postecoglou. Jonathan refers to his tenure as a disaster from start to finish, but does Ange have a future in the Premier League? Next, we look to Liverpool v Manchester United. Jonathan believes a direct approach, using longballs, is the best method to expose Liverpool’s defensive frailties and Dan suggests we’re seeing a transition in Slot’s side that was expected last season. We then turn to the title race and Arsenal’s away win at Craven Cottage; Jonathan is confident that Arsenal win the title this season, calling the set-piece winning goal “brutally efficient” and Martin compares this Arsenal to George Graham’s league-winning side. We also look at Erling Haaland’s incredible goalscoring record, with two goals in five minutes against Everton, and ask the question whether Manchester City are a little too reliant on the outstanding Norwegian this season? Finally, we look at talk of a “Beckham Bid” for Manchester United. Approached by UAE billionaires, David Beckham may be the face of a £5billion takeover bid. And whilst comparing both Man United and Liverpool’s models, we ask which is the bigger club? Running Order: 3mins – Ange Sacked 24mins – Liverpool v Man Utd 39mins – Title Race Chat 46mins – Haaland’s Goals 52mins – Man United Beckham Bid Sunday Supplement is a Sky Sports podcast.
