It's the Planet FPL derby this week and James is joined West Ham fan Chris Stone and Tottenham fan Ricky Saunders to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of Saturday's meeting. And it's been a busy couple of weeks for both clubs off the pitch with the West Ham United Supporters Trust issuing a vote of no confidence in the board whilst after 24 years Daniel Levy is no longer Tottenham chairman. There's the fan view on both. And there's views on the pitch too, will West Ham stick with the back four that was successful at Nottingham Forest? And will Tottenham be better off without the ball as seen in games against PSG and Manchester City? But Xavi Simons may alter Tottenham's attacking quality, could he and fellow new man Randal Kolo Muani be options for Fantasy managers, or might there be better cheaper alternatives at West Ham in the midfield zone. Plus, Jarrod Bowen's form, if Aaron Wan-Bissaka will get his place back, best Tottenham defensive asset, thoughts on Ange Postecohlu taking over at Forest and we have a feeling that Mohammed Kudus 'might' get booed on Saturday. Lauren Harris joins James to preview The Women's European Championships that kick off in Switzerland tomorrow, and England's Lionesses will be among the favourites. But they haven't been helped by the draw and England are at risk of an early elimination should things go badly from a Group that also contains France, The Netherlands and Wales. The lopsided nature of the draw means Spain should breeze through to the Semi Finals and it does guarantee one of the lesser nations reach the final four. To get to that stage England won't have to just navigate their Group of Death, but also a likely Quarter Final against Sweden or Germany, the two sides England beat to lift this trophy three years ago. All 16 nations covered, best players to keep an eye on, England's likely line up for their opener on Saturday and there are two Fantasy formats on the tournament covered too. Suj and James discuss the 7 games played so far in Gameweek 37 and it's all set for there to be plenty to play for in the race for Champions League qualification. So are, those the teams to target for FPL managers on final day? It might be Arsenal who appeal most as they travel to Southampton, but should we be put off by the fact they now have second place confirmed following victory against a Newcastle missing Alexander Isak. Aston Villa, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest all kept themselves in contention for the top 5 and their wins are reviewed, whilst there was disappointment for Brentford and Jmaie Vardy signed off with one final party at The King Power. Plus, the forward yet to play this Gameweek who will see investment ahead of next week, captaincy is discussed, there's coverage of The FA Cup Final (Congratulations Palace!) and James is ready to go to Bilbao. The final and the 3 remaining games in GW37 will be reviewed on Friday. Everyone wants to buy Ollie Watkins this week, so James thought he'd catch up with Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson to get the Villa few and get straight to the point... is he the best captain in Gameweek 37? There's discussion on other Villa assets including Matty Cash, Marcos Asensio and Morgan Rogers; the impact of what the absence of Jacob Ramsey and Youri Tielemans may have. Plus, reflection on Villa's season and their Cup defeats to Crystal Palace and PSG, Lee discusses his FPL seasons as he hopes to hang on for a top 5k finish and James gives his view from the other side, on what Tottenham may do at Villa Park tonight. Clayton joins James this week on the Gameweek Review Podcast to discuss all the weekend's games, which included more misfiring premiums, but there were good returns to be had elsewhere and that included a haul for Ebe Eze against a hapless and rotated Tottenham. For Tottenham and Manchester United (who were beaten by West Ham) all focus is on the Europa League Final which is why Ollie Watkins and Cole Palmer are likely to be so popular this week for Fantasy managers! Should they be under captaincy consideration? Plus, Arsenal pulled it back at Anfield where Trent Alexander-Arnold was booed, Newcastle beat 10 man Chelsea who saw Nicolas Jackson sent off, Villa, Brentford and Brighton picked up important wins, whilst Forest slipped up against Leicester and Southampton somehow held Manchester City and a returning Erling Haaland to claw themselves to 12 points. Fantasy targets for what remains covered, the pull of rolling for GW38, what will Palace and City do next week following the FA Cup Final, players to consider for those with a Free Hit left and lots more... A good weekend for Kevin's, as De Bruyne's winner sealed victory for Manchester City against Wolves, and Brentford's Schade got two in victory for Brentford against Manchester United. But it was largely another week where many popular assets underperformed again. Suj and James review all the weekend games which included a surprise loss for Arsenal against Bournemouth and the top 5 race intensified with 6 teams scrapping for four places; wjilst there's still a Conference League place for four other teams to potentially fight over. So there are some with plenty still to play for, but for others a limp finish to the line beckons. That will likely include West Ham and Tottenham who played out a drab draw in the Planet FPL Derby. And Tottenham are in the news for Fantasy purposes today with confirmation that their fixture at Villa will be brought forward but remains in Gameweek 37, meaning there will be no more doubles. Solutions offered for those still with the Triple Captaincy and Free Hit covered, Suj nearly hit glory with his Assman but options are now limited for 36, James discusses his Wildcard and transfer targets for what's left are covered throughout the Podcast. Suj and James discuss the fallout from a weekend where many Free Hitters saw success with many assets from the popular teams did well, and for a change there were some defensive heroes in the likes of Jose Sa, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Kieran Trippier and Ryan Sessegnon all hauling. There's discussion on all the games as usual as Liverpool confirmed themselves as Champions following their demolition of Tottenham, and the relegation picture is also done after ten man Ipswich lost at Newcastle. The FA Cup Semi Finals are also reflected on with focus on what that now means for the prospect of doubles in Gameweek 36. The outlook now looks tough for those with the Assistant Manager Chip left and that includes, Suj, so what will he do? And James is on Wildcard with eyes on assets to include, but there is one difficult decision to make first off, because captaincy for GW35 looks wide open. Suj and James discuss the 10 games played so far in Double Gameweek 33 where despite ther teams doubling scoring twelve and conceding only once it felt like the majority of FPL managers missed those who hauled. There's a heavy focus on looking ahead with the Blank Gameweek next, with advice for those on Free Hit, those buying to keep and hold and which assets should be sacrificed who have just had doubles. Captaincy is covered with a clear stand out (spoiler: it won't surprise), and there's particular focus on Fulham, Newcastle and Wolves assets as they get set to face the bottom three. All the games covered with thoughts on Pep's latest tactical tweak as Man City left it late against Everton, how rampant Aston Villa saw off Newcastle and there was important victories too for Brentford and Forest in their bid to reach Europe; and both of those clubs will featuring heavily in the minds of Fantasy managers in the weeks to come, despite them meeting each other next. The Mayor of FPL Tom Campbell stands in to host the Gameweek Review Podcast with James and cover a weekend that saw disappointment for four of the five clubs who played in Europe in midweek, and it has so far underwhelmed for many who have chips active. Eyes now turn towards the next Double, with Crystal Palace, who were beaten by a Kevin De Bruyne inspired Manchester City doubling, and so to do City. Could KDB be worth a nostalgic final punt for Fantasy managers ahead of leaving at the season's conclusion? Villa, also double, but it's tough on paper and they may rotate again as they did at the weekend though we did learn Morgan Rogers truly is indestructible. So Are Arsenal the team to target for investment despite dropping more points against Brentford and with little to play for in the league? It's little to play for as Liverpool are now only two wins from the title, and James makes the case to consider assets from The Reds and yesterday's opponents West Ham despite neither doubling in the week ahead. Plus, there's discussion on captaincy for GW33, the top 5 race and how harshly should Manchester United and Tottenham, who both conceded four, be viewed. Suj and James discuss the weekend's Premier League football and it was largely another low scoring week for Fantasy managers with Mo Salah amongst many popular assets who blanked. But with Alexander Isak and Newcastle assets still to go at Leicester the outlook could look very different by the end of the day. Newcastle of course double next, as do Crystal Palace who beat rivals Brighton, but not without issues as Marc Guehi was sent off but Daniel Munoz, Ebe Eze and Jean-Phillipe Mateta all returned well. Then there's three further doubles in Gameweek 33, Arsenal and Man City both underwhelmed as they drew on the road but Villa did beat Forest, though they did it was a heavily rotated team, and there may be more heavily roattion to come across Gameweeks 32 and 33 that may concern those looking to Bench Boost. Plus, Liverpool were beaten at Fulham, Southampton were relegated and Suj's Wildcard hasn't got off to the best of starts. Tomorrow on on Planet FPL: The People's Poll, Are We Bored With Football? Suj and James discuss the 9 games played so far in GW30 and it wasn't quite what many may have hoped it would be, as Mo Salah blanked, all Crystal Palace assets blanked as they got a late qualiser to draw at Southampton, Bournemouth lost to Ipswich and Manchester City strolled a 2-0 victory against Leicester. Rotation bit many, with some like Phil Foden benched, though Bukayo Saka returned as a substitute, but Justrin Kluivert didn't make the squad at all.But fun with flags (does not) continue, with Alexander Isak and Kieran Trippier having potential groin issues and Arsenal's Gabriel set for an extended absence after pulling his hamstring. Replacing Gabriel is high on the agenda, with teammate William Saliba and players with upcoming doubles high on the list of players to target and Newcastle assets will feel right for many looking for additions this week. But the biggest result for many last night was at The Amex, where Aston Villa's victory at Brighton takes away the bonus point potential for Unai Emery and Oliver Glasner, who were both set to be popular for those about to activate the Assistant Manager Chip, and James is among those who wanted to go there... so what now? And for Villa they have a Champions League Quarter Final which makes their FPL assets particular difficult to assess with a juicy fixture at Southampton between the games with PSG. And Brighton could well appeal then to as they host Leicester, but are they liable for rotation too. On Clash of the Correspondents ahead of the Blank James is joined by Bournemouth fan Neil Grover and Brentford fan Tom Medd to discuss the latest at their clubs and some very important Fantasy assets ahead of a fixture where goals are expected again! For both free hitters and those looking to invest you can make a case for more than half the Bournemouth team to be of interest, from Kepa in goal to Dean Huijsen at the back, Milos Kerkez at left-back, a returning Evanilson, Marcus Tavernioer, Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert may even become the captaincy pick of choice for many as we head towards deadline. But where does that leave Dango Ouattara owners? And are consistent Brentford being overlooked with their own attacking players of interest in Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, plus enablers such as the underrated Mikkel Damsgaard and the pacey Kevin Schade? After all, The Bees who were so strong at home are now putting strong results on the board on the road, even if it may have much to do with the flip in their fixtures. And Bournemouth can dare to dream big about qualifying for Europe and whta might might achievable in the FA Cup. Suj and James review the weekend of Gameweek 28 where there was more heartbreak for those who gambled on Cole Palmer again as the Chelsea talisman missed his first penalty of his professional career, whilst Mo Salah converted two penalties of his own to break the FPL points scoring record despite still having nine games to play! But FPL managers won't be captaining Salah this week with Liverpool among four teams who blank this week and much of the focus of the Podcast is towards decision making for the Blank coming up, and for some that may mean even selling Salah to fund a move for Erling Haaland. But is Haaland even the best captain this week!? City were being beaten again, this time at Nottingham Forest and Chris Wood may even be the EO play this week as Nuno's Champions League chasing team travel to Ipswich. All the games reviewed, including discussion on Arsenal's draw at Manchester United which surely means the title is heading to Anfield; Bournemouth's outstanding showing at White Hart Lane only earned them a point; while Aston Villa and Brighton also kept themselves in contention for a top 5 finish; and Wolves without Matheus Cunha also edged a point closer to safety Tomorrow on Planet FPL: Clash of the Correspondents, Bournemouth v Brentford with Neil Grover and Tom Medd Today on Patreon: The Q'N'A (IT+) and Nico's Corner (AT) For the full Planet FPL schedule this week, including our offering on Patreon view this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/schedule-march-124031506 Want to become a member of our FPL community and support the Podcast? On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Wolves fan Bradley Parker and Everton fan Sean Norton to discuss the latest at their clubs and FPL interest in some of their assets ahead of the Saturday night meeting at Molineux. Matheus Cunha was going to be all the rage for FPL managers but now those who may have been ahead of the curve must sell with the Brazilian talisman set for a lengthy suspension. Could the returning Jorgen Strand Larsen offer a solution for FPL managers? Or might the best replacement be with opponents Everton with forward Beto and The Toffees finding form under David Moyes, They are well clear of danger now, but that Cunha suspension may have Wolves fans looking nervously over their shoulders again. Plus, views on defensive assets from both clubs and is there anything from the midfield bracket that FPL managers can consider? James is joined by Clayton on the Gameweek Review Podcast to discuss the events of the midweek of Gameweek 27 where somehow, those who gambled on Cole Palmer with the captaincy were not rewarded... but it didn't matter that much anyway. So Palmer again in 28 with an insipid Leicester next? Maybe not with Mo Salah facing Southampton, or could The Reds rotate with the fixture falling in between their Champions League games with PSG? All the games covered including Arsenal drawing blanks again at Forest and Man City seeing off Tottenham in a game of two halves at White Hart Lane where Erling Haaland registered the only goal. Is there a case to take Salah on with the big Norweigian from Gameweek 29 onwards? Perhaps so, and there is plenty of discussion around the Blank of Gameweek 29 and how to manage players subject to chosen strategy, with key assets from the likes of City, Bournemouth, Palace and Wolves all covered in detail.
