Ndiaye Will Always Love You | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 51 | GW37 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss the 7 games played so far in Gameweek 37 and it's all set for there to be plenty to play for in the race for Champions League qualification. So are, those the teams to target for FPL managers on final day? It might be Arsenal who appeal most as they travel to Southampton, but should we be put off by the fact they now have second place confirmed following victory against a Newcastle missing Alexander Isak. Aston Villa, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest all kept themselves in contention for the top 5 and their wins are reviewed, whilst there was disappointment for Brentford and Jmaie Vardy signed off with one final party at The King Power. Plus, the forward yet to play this Gameweek who will see investment ahead of next week, captaincy is discussed, there's coverage of The FA Cup Final (Congratulations Palace!) and James is ready to go to Bilbao. The final and the 3 remaining games in GW37 will be reviewed on Friday. Double Jeopardy | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 45 | GW31 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss the weekend's Premier League football and it was largely another low scoring week for Fantasy managers with Mo Salah amongst many popular assets who blanked. But with Alexander Isak and Newcastle assets still to go at Leicester the outlook could look very different by the end of the day. Newcastle of course double next, as do Crystal Palace who beat rivals Brighton, but not without issues as Marc Guehi was sent off but Daniel Munoz, Ebe Eze and Jean-Phillipe Mateta all returned well. Then there's three further doubles in Gameweek 33, Arsenal and Man City both underwhelmed as they drew on the road but Villa did beat Forest, though they did it was a heavily rotated team, and there may be more heavily roattion to come across Gameweeks 32 and 33 that may concern those looking to Bench Boost. Plus, Liverpool were beaten at Fulham, Southampton were relegated and Suj's Wildcard hasn't got off to the best of starts. Tomorrow on on Planet FPL: The People's Poll, Are We Bored With Football? Don't Look Back Elanga | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 44 | GW30 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss the 9 games played so far in GW30 and it wasn't quite what many may have hoped it would be, as Mo Salah blanked, all Crystal Palace assets blanked as they got a late qualiser to draw at Southampton, Bournemouth lost to Ipswich and Manchester City strolled a 2-0 victory against Leicester. Rotation bit many, with some like Phil Foden benched, though Bukayo Saka returned as a substitute, but Justrin Kluivert didn't make the squad at all.But fun with flags (does not) continue, with Alexander Isak and Kieran Trippier having potential groin issues and Arsenal's Gabriel set for an extended absence after pulling his hamstring. Replacing Gabriel is high on the agenda, with teammate William Saliba and players with upcoming doubles high on the list of players to target and Newcastle assets will feel right for many looking for additions this week. But the biggest result for many last night was at The Amex, where Aston Villa's victory at Brighton takes away the bonus point potential for Unai Emery and Oliver Glasner, who were both set to be popular for those about to activate the Assistant Manager Chip, and James is among those who wanted to go there... so what now? Carabao Cup Final | Murphy and Isak exclusive | Gakpo on PSG loss

Vicky Gomersall is joined by The Mirror's Darren Lewis and Sky Sports News reporter Melissa Reddy to reflect on the weekend’s sporting action. We begin pitch-side at Wembley, with eyes on the Carabao Cup final. A less than perfect buildup week for Liverpool after Champions-league loss and a buoyant Bruno Guimaraes describes the fixture as Newcastle’s “World Cup Final.” Next, Natalie Gedra sits down with Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak, who talk about their chemistry, what it means to play in a final, and their favourite goal scored together. Elsewhere, Juliette Ferrington chats with Cody Gakpo about recovering from the intensity of the midweek Champions League clash with PSG and Liverpool’s resilience this season. And Keith Downie meets ex-Newcastle player Rob Lee on Wembley Way, who reminisces scoring against Chelsea at Wembley, and is confident his old team can lift a trophy for the first time in seventy years. We also talk of Arsenal’s opportunity to work away at the deficit against Liverpool, and the importance of building momentum ahead of the Champions League tie against Real Madrid. Can Newcastle keep hold of Isak?

Alexander Isak is one of Europe’s most prolific strikers having scored 17 goals in his last 17 games since the start of December. But the question is can they deliver the success needed to keep him at St James’ Park? Santa Needs A New Sak | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 26 | GW17 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Options are considered throughout he Podcast, including spreading the money and could that even bring a rout back to Erling Haaland in time for Manchester City's enticing next 5 fixtures!? Question is, after City's latest setback at Villa, where Morgan Rogers (benched my many) hauled, do FPL managers have any confidence to invest in Pep's men? It's Goin Down, I'm Yellin | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 23 | GW14 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Clayton joins James for a review of GW14 in a week where Arsenal won from corners and Tottenham lost from one, but that's not the only reason Tottenham lost, and James is in a mood this morning following the dismal showing at Bournemouth. He did at least have some reason to cheer via FPL means as Alexander Isak was held and returned well in Newcastle's thrilling draw against Liverpool, but Mo Salah dominated again with another monster haul. The Egyptian King is now up to a barely believable 151 FPL Points for the season. Clayton's gameweek meanwhile was somewhat saved by an Arsenal player and The Gunners ran out winners against a Manchester United team, who impressed with their structure, if not their threat. All the games from Wednesday to Thursday covered, including Chelsea's demolition of Southampton, Aston Villa and Manchester City getting back to winning ways; whilst there's debate on FPL transfers as James seeks a new defender, there's a solution offered for Bryan Mbeumo owners, if those who have prersisted with Erling Haaland have to call it quits and is there enough reason to take Salah on with the captaincy this week? ...Tottenham might have offered one... but not for the right reasons. Ask James | Friday November 22nd | Planet FPL 2024/25

On Ask James today, with the news of Tottenham missing both first choice centre backs there's a big warning for Fantasy managers who were looking to sell Erling Haaland, but with Mateo Kovacic also out for City, Tottenham are not without their own chances to hurt tomorrow and that may make selling or benching the likes of Brennan Johnson or Dominic Solanke awkward too. Plus, Trent Alexander-Arnold is out and James will be moving him on as part of a plan to get Alexander Isak, and going treble Arsenal defence is not something James is ruling out at this stage, particularly with one player's xMins on the rise following today's Team News. As usual, all the transfer and benching dilemmas covered and there's more chat on Ange Postecoglu and the long-term. Newcastle v West Ham | CotC with Simon Bibby & Chris Stone | Planet FPL 2024/25

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Newcastle fan Simon Bibby and West Ham fan Chris Stone to discuss the latest at their clubs and the FPL assets within them ahead of Monday's meeting at St James's Park. Will either Correspondent give James reason not to buy Alexander Isak? And he's not the only Newcastle asset under consideration, with Lewis Hall likely to be popular for those in search of an enabling defender and there's a warning not to forget about Anthony Gordon and Joelinton's positioning could soon make him an interesting prospect. Jarrod Bowen for Bryan Mbeumo in GW14 is a move James earmarked in pre-season, but is there any faith in The Hammers who sit in 14th currently and with the pressure mounting on Julen Lopetegui. Mohammed Kudus also return in GW14, there's discussion too on what's happening with Lucas Paqueta and will 4.0 keeper Lukasz Fabianski retain his place in goal for the weeks ahead? Mo Domination | Planet FPL S. 8 Ep. 20 | GW11 Review | Fantasy Premier League

Suj and James discuss a miserable weekend, no, laugh at a miserable weekend of red arrows, failed Fantasy returns, and dismal home showing for the clubs they support! Yeah it's that kind of vibe. All the games reviewed as usual which included those disappointing days for West Ham and Tottenham and another disappointing day for vulnerable Manchester City, who were beaten by a Brighton side who now very much appeal for Fantasy managers and so to will Chelsea and Arsenal assets following their draw at Stamford Bridge. Both have very positive long-term fixtures. But the player the lads will probably want to but most is Alexander Isak, there's interest too in double ups on teams defensively, a Trent replacement may be needed, Mo Salah was on it again and provided another double point return ahead of facing the league's bottom side in Gameweek 12. The 7.5-9.0 Forwards | The People's Poll ep. 153 | Planet FPL 2024/25

Suj and James have a look at five FPL forwards that James has been repeatedly warning recently that FPL managers shouldn't cut themselves off of, because although there are several good options below 7.5 (and one very good one above 9.0!) these five players may well show greater consistency and have more explosiveness. The 5 players in question (WishJ) are Ollie Watkins, Alexander Isak, Dominic Solanke, Kai Havertz and Nicolas Jackson. There's analysis of their statistics so far this season and a look at the fixtures ahead, with consideration to who their threats from within, their capability to be Fantasy talisman and much more. Chelsea v Newcastle | CotC with Gary Mantle & Simon Bibby | Planet FPL 2024/25

On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Chelsea fan Gary Mantle and Newcastle fan Simon Bibby ahead of Sunday's meeting between the clubs at Stamford Bridge and right from the get-go on this Podcast there's a strong feeling about a positive Fantasy weekend for Cole Palmer! That's in part because of Chelsea's bright start to the season which included a spirited performance despite defeat at Liverpool, but is also due to on-going concerns that not all is well with Newcastle... but why? All the key FPL assets covered and with both set for positive fixture swings in Gameweek 12 there's plenty to cover with thoughts on Chelsea's defensive assets, the prospects for Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak going forward, there's advice for Noni Madueke owners and James is very keen on investing in Nicolas Jackson. Newcastle with Simon Bibby | Correspondent Week ep.10 | Planet FPL 2024/25

Simon Bibby joins James to discuss Newcastle's FPL assets with interest very high and the perfect combination of attractive fixtures and some players very nicely priced. Alexander Isak is a shoo-in, isn't he? There's discussion on the Swedish forward, while fellow attacker Anthony Gordon is also going to be a popular pick, as long as he starts against Southampton in Gameweek 1. He will start; won't he? There's going to be interest in the 4.5 defenders with Dan Burn, Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento all under scruting but the answer of which one to go for may be impacted by the future of Kieran Trippier. Si reveals his preference from the three and if extra should be paid for Nick Pope if wanting defensive coverage. Plus, there's another attacker that has Si's interest and the Podcast begins with chat on Eddie Howe's future with the England job available, why he's got to get the club back in the Champions League this season and there's coverage of the changes made an ownership level. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Manchester United fan Gary Robinson and Newcastle fan Simon Bibby to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of their meeting at Old Trafford next Wednesday which is part of a Double Gameweek for both clubs. For the Red Devils morale appears to be on the floor following Monday's heavy loss at Crystal Palace with some now suggesting Erik Ten Hag shouldn't even make it as far as the Manchester FA Cup Final. Can The Dutchman stay in the job into next season? There's discussion on Manchester United's attempts to take Newcastle's Sporting Director Dan Ashworth and if it signals any concerns about Newcastle's longer-term plan. Is there also a need to sell one of their star players to comply with PSR? Plus, all the key FPL assets discussed, including thoughts on Bruno Fernandes' injury status, whether Alexander Isak is a legitimate captaincy option, the impact of Callum Wilson's return, best defensive assets from both clubs, whether Nick pope and Kieran Trippier are likely to start on Saturday and lots more... Fulham v Newcastle | CotC with Dara Curran & Simon Bibby | Planet FPL 2023/24

On Clash of the Correspondents it's a meeting of the black and whites as James is joined by Fulham fan Dara Curran and Newcastle fan Simon Bibby to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of Saturday's meeting at Craven Cottage. Both clubs have had troubles on the road this season as seen again this week with Fulham, who followed some brilliant victories by conceding six across two games at Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest. So they'll be pleased to be at home this weekend against a Newcastle side who have also struggled on the road. Does that mean a home win is likely with the Fulham frontline likely to be spearheaded again by the in-form Rodrigo Muniz against a Newcastle side that is again suffering through injuries defensively? There's discussion on the FPL relevant assets of interest including Muniz and other Fulham players that managers may own, plus the all important Newcastle assets who have a great run of fixtures that leads towards their double in the penultimate gameweek of 37. Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon, Harvey Barnes and yes, the best choice of the defensive assets is covered too! Newcastle v Crystal Palace | CotC with Simon Bibby & Ruaidhri McLaughlin-Dowd | Planet FPL 2023/24

On the first of three Clash of the Correspondents during this International break James is joined by Newcastle fan Simon Bibby and Crystal Palace fan Ruaidhri McLaughlin-Dowd to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of the GW9 meeting between the two at James' Park. Ten points from the last 4 in the league from the Toon Army which included five consecutive clean sheets across three competitions, there's been a 4-1 beating of PSG in the Champions League and an 8-0 away win at Sheffield United and it's meant FPL assets, particularly defensively are of interest. But it's Palace who current have the highest scoring goalkeeper in FPL (Sam Johnstone) and the highest scoring defender (Joachim Andersen!). And despite a growing and concerning injury list The Eagles find themselves only 1 point behind Newcastle in the table. Is Kieran Trippier worth the 2 million or so more than the other Newcastle defenders in FPL? And if not who is the best from the cheaper assets? Does Marc Guehi at 0.4 cheaper than teammate Andersen worth consideration now The Dane is approaching the 5.0 mark? Plus, can Callum Wilson or Alexander Isak be invested in despite injury and rotation concerns? How much should Fantasy managers be considering Anthony Gordon and can Palace find the way to goal with Michael Olise still unavailable and talisman Ebe Eze now sidelined? ...and does this have the potential to be last on Match of the Day.... again? Newcastle United with Simon Bibby | Correspondent Week ep. 14 | Planet FPL 2023/24

When does the season hold in store for Newcastle following qualification for the Champions League. Simon Bibby joins James to talk all things Newcastle including all the potential FPL assets. It’s a tough opening for The Toon; Villa, Man City, Liverpool and Brighton is the opening 4, and so many want to treat Newcastle as a watch and wait, but Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman’s ownership suggest otherwise. Are the defensive pair worth having or are they like to bleed value? There’s discussion on new signings Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes, increasing depth in the squad could mean more rotation but there is concern about depth defensively. Plus, who’s likely to start out of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson? And Si and James agree on the Newcastle asset they are most likely to pick in FPL… and the answer may surprise.
